The B Goodes
The B Goodes Hail from Ipswich, England and are an original Big Beat, Pop, Rock and Rock'n'SoulRoll band. An energetic Live act, boasting 4 part harmonies and the catchiest pop rock melodies anywhere! Taking influences from various classic Artists such as The Kinks, The Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Zombies, Beach Boys etc... and have been described by Neil Innes of Monty Python & The Rutles as 'Better Than The Beatles'!

In October of 2008, John Brett and Phil Jackson got together and started writing and recording their own brand of original songs, giving birth to The B Goodes. In summer of 2009 they were joined by Jay Goodrich to form a living breathing band. The B Goodes are now a formidable, energetic, fun, Live act. Bringing their self penned, brand of catchy, Pop/Rock songs to the masses.

The Beatles, The Kinks, Jerry Lee Lewis, ELO, Queen, The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, The Pretty Things, Bob Dylan, The Zombies, Captain Beefheart, The Bonzo Dog Band, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, The Hollies, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Elvis Presley, The Turtles, The Sonics, Pink Floyd... to name a few.
In 2010 The B Goodes enjoyed national airplay on Mark Lamarr’s BBC Radio 2 Show, Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music show and with popular track ‘Feel Alright’ earning Song of the Year on BBC Suffolk Introducing. An energetic live act, The B.Goodes have enjoyed amongst other things, supporting The Moons, and at the end of 2010, collaborated for a four week residency with Neil Innes of The Rutles, Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and Monty Python fame. Neil, somewhat misty eyed described The B. Goodes as, ‘as good as The Beatles’ and on another occasion ‘better than The Beatles’.
People seem to be taking The B. Goodes blend of 4 part harmonies and poppy, hooky songs to their hearts. Gawd bless em!
In 2011 The B Goodes played the Lake Stage at the Latitude festival, Henham Park, England to much applause.
March 26th 2012 sees the band's Debut Album being released and the B Goodes touring to promote this, check our gigs page for updates!
